This is a super interesting coffee. From the aroma, I picked up a black cherry cola sort of smell. I think think the sweet lemon-lime is the star of the cup and really comes alive as the coffee cools a bit. Then, and I was surprised by this, there’s a baker’s chocolate-dryness on the finish. This Kenya is really layered and complex coffee that I’m really enjoying.

I want to be transparent about building this coffee business. I’ve dreamed of owning my own shop or roasterie for a long time, so to document the process of turning nothing into something serves two purposes: to look back on, and to invite others into how I’m doing it.
Part of making a good name for ourselves is being willing to share and be honest - I believe thats how we learn to trust someone. I’m pouring (no pun) myself into this, and I want others to feel like they have some part or role in that process.
